What is freeze-drying?
Freeze-drying is a drying process that removes water from a previously frozen raw material through what is known as sublimation, which is the direct transition to a vapor state bypassing the liquid state. This process mostly eliminates microbial contaminants so it can be safely stored for a long period of time.
Why freeze-dried herbs?
Freeze-dried products retain 90% of their natural shape, color and aroma. Due to the possibility of conducting the process at low temperatures, raw material prepared by freeze-drying method does not lose valuable vitamins and essential oils.
